A leading Modular Contractor with over 50 years of industry experience is looking to expand their commercial department due securing a large volume of projects. Our client specialises across the Education, Commercial, Industrial and Healthcare markets, providing bespoke solutions on their projects. This business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, delivering a full conception and manufacturing service through to turnkey for a large number of clients across the UK, with the bulk of their work leading to repeat business.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

• Prior experience working for a Main / Modular Contractor as an Assistant Estimator
• A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Demonstrate knowledge of structural steel frames, construction, and engineering principles
• Well organised, self-starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage all aspects of the works

The Role

As an Assistant Estimator, you will support the commercial team in understanding the drawings and specifications of projects, in order to produce competitive tenders for modular projects in the Education, Healthcare & Residential sectors.

Duties

• Aid the Specials team to tender documents, drawings and specifications to understand the scope of work and the client's requirements
• Review Employers Requirements / Scope
• Review Contract Requirements
• Logging Change Management Process
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and Contractors Proposals in line with the Scope
• Inputting, managing, and updating the quotation database and the CRM system
• Working closely with the sales team and the projects department to ensure customer satisfaction and project profitability
• Working closely with the subcontractor base to receive quotations
• Providing tender assistance to all contractors / clients throughout the tender stage
