Job Role: Maintenance Controller

Location: Chippenham

Salary Range: £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

Contract Type: Permanent (Hybrid)

Our client, a global vehicle fleet management leader that drives the best results for each of its client’s unique and complex vehicle needs, is looking for a driven and passionate Maintenance Controller to join its rapidly growing team.

Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Controller

• Confer with supply networks and customers to authorise repairs, providing expert opinions on costs and solutions.
• Maintain awareness of customer-specific parameters.
• Manage cost control and vehicle downtime for each job.
• Source cost-effective non-original equipment parts when necessary.
• Keep accurate and comprehensive notes.
• Gather evidence, validate information, and challenge as appropriate.
• Support customer service areas of the call centre as needed.
• Undertake ad hoc tasks as required by the business.

Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Controller

• Mechanical qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent are desirable.
• Demonstrable, detailed mechanical knowledge of vehicles with workshop experience or similar.
• Proficient in PC use, internet, email, and able to quickly learn new software applications.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Numerate and literate.
• Willing to go the extra mile for excellent results.

Candidates who are currently working as a Fleet Maintenance Controller, Vehicle Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Planner, Service Advisor, Fleet Operations Engineer, or a Maintenance Engineer, would be suitable for this position.
