Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Salary Scale: £83 - £110 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant at a secondary school in Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain experience in a secondary school setting.

Job Summary:

• Support secondary students in their academic and personal development.
• Assist teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom management.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with teachers to support the learning and development of students.
• Use a range of strategies to engage students and encourage positive behaviour.
• Monitor and record student progress, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning and review of student support plans.

The Successful Candidate Will:

• Hold a relevant degree or be a recent graduate.
• Have experience or a strong interest in working with secondary school students.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be proactive, patient, and adaptable.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Have an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
