Join Our Team as a Mechanical Fitter!

Location: Berkshire
Hours: Monday-Friday (45 hours) + 4 hours Saturday morning (49 hours/week total)
Overtime: Potential available

WasteRecruit is thrilled to collaborate with the UK's leading processor and recycler of WEEE waste to find a skilled Mechanical Fitter for their expanding site in Berkshire. This opportunity has opened up due to the company's remarkable growth and the need to bolster their dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspection & Troubleshooting: Handle industrial equipment like shredders, granulators, and conveyors.
  • Fault Repair & Replacement: Fix faults and arrange replacements as needed.
  • Maintenance: Conduct scheduled and preventative maintenance on lorries.
  • Welding: Perform welding activities when necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in mechanical and electrical works, mobile plant repairs, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and good communication skills.
  • Qualifications: Proficiency in welding and/or electrical systems, and a valid UK driving license.
