Our client is a large independent accounting and business advisory firm, providing accounting services and business advice across the UK, serving multiple sectors. As demand for their services grows, they require an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager to join and play a leading role in the firm.
As Accounts and Audit Manager you will plan, organise, and manage a portfolio of clients within the Corporate Services Department, providing a cost-effective, timely, quality service to the client, to enhance client experience and productivity for the firm at the same time. In addition to client management, the role will contribute to overall practice development, particularly in the areas of Corporate Services, Audit, Payroll, and Outsourcing work.
The ideal candidate for the role of Accounts and Audit Manager will be:
- ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent experience (FCA or FCCA desirable)
- Minimum of 4 years post qualified proven experience within an audit practice environment
- Minimum of 3 years experience managing staff within a practice environment
- Ability to review and complete accounts files quickly and efficiently
- Ability to review and complete personal tax returns quickly and efficiently
- Strong computer literacy and MS Office Suite knowledge
- Strong active listening skills
- Excellent problem-resolution skills and ideas generation ability
- Strong marketing, networking, and business development skills
- Proactive management skills, resulting in high-performance teams
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to quickly build rapport and trust
