Embedded Test Engineer-  Based Buckinghamshire

Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and be fully eligible to work in the UK

My client is looking for a proactive, motivated, and ambitious Technical Embedded Test Engineer with a minimum of two years’ experience working in the Automotive industry with software testing techniques, including manual and automated testing with a keen interest in technology and is looking to build their career.

As an Embedded Automated Test Engineer, you will ideally have an engineering degree in automative or mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent or be qualified by experience with programming skills in embedded systems (such as C++, Python).

You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality standards are met and assist the product testing team to create innovative solutions to streamline and enhance testing processes whilst maintaining and the maintenance of existing automated testing systems and their development.  

Basic salary up to £40,000 depending on experience plus bonus (paid quarterly) and extensive benefits package.

  • ​Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills, excellent attention to detail with proven ability of working in a fast-paced environment
  • ​Able to demonstrate working in a collaborative cross functional engineering/test team with a positive attitude

Any experience of the following skills would be advantageous, but not essential

  • Any exposure to GPS and automotive-based technologies with an understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Automation domain and ADAS experience

Duties

  • You will develop and utilise software and firmware testing tools for product testing tasksand identify and improve product testing tools and processes
  • Work closely with test engineers to meet project deadlines
  • Take ownership of automated test systems and their continued development
  • Able to prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines and c​​Create and maintain testing documentation
