Rural West Malling
Monday to Friday. Week 1: 6am - 2pm and Week 2: 10am - 6pm, optional paid overtime weekdays and Saturday mornings
25 days annual leave (plus 8 days bank holidays)

We are working in partnership with a market-leading manufacturer within the construction sector who are looking for a Trainee Forklift Driver / Yard Operative

The key duties for this Trainee Forklift Driver / Yard Operative are:

  • Ensuring all product stored outside in the Yard is packaged and in good condition, cleaning and replacing any old packaging where needed
  • Using forklift to load and unload different types of articulated vehicles and placing goods in the designated areas
  • Performing daily maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels, tyre pressures, battery charge etc

The key skills / experience required for this Forklift Driver / Yard Operative are:

  • A keen, willing attitude and the want to learn and be multi-skilled
  • Ideally some experience within a yard / warehouse / factory setting
  • Basic IT skills and happy to learn
  • An open-minded approach to new processes and procedures
