Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Plumbing Services

Our client, a family run Plumbing Group, specialising in delivering heating and renewable services to a range of clients in heating, heating maintenance, renewables, plumbing, and M&E. Due to growth of the business, they are looking to bring an Assistant Quantity Surveyor into their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in with cost estimation, budget management, tender preparation, valuations, and site visits.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Plumbing Services

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Help monitor project budgets and ensure they stay on track.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents.
• Carry out regular valuations and assessments of work progress.
• Measure quantities from drawings and plans.
• Prepare and present regular cost reports to senior management.
• Communicate with contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Maintain organised and accurate project documentation and records.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Plumbing Services

Requirements:

• Prior experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Mechanical & Electrical and Construction projects
• Demonstrate strong numeracy, financial management, and IT skills
• Exhibit strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork abilities
• Have knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
• A full driver's license is essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of Eque 2
