Optometrist – Full time - Up to £65,000 (DoE) – Brighton

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a leading Brighton Eye Hospital, for an experienced Optometrist to join their highly skilled and supportive team.

This is a permanent position offering generous salary and bonus, which is reviewed annually. You’ll have access to brilliant company benefits and private healthcare. This is a part time role, working 2 days a week, Monday and Friday.

Role Responsibilities:

• You will carry out pre and post-operative consultations, assessing the suitability of patients for treatment, as integral part of a multi disciplinary team working alongside consultants
• Carry out examinations that are associated with refractive, cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgeries
• Run acute and follow up clinics post-surgery for all patients
• Provide health advice and support to patients attending the hospital
• Provide first line clinical advice to patients and follow the appropriate means of referral to a medical practitioner if necessary

Qualifications:

• Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist

Skills Required:

• Experienced and confident working as an optometrist in a refractive, high street or hospital environment
• Experienced in NHS and vision correction is preferred
• Experienced in using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems
• Experience of working to conversion targets and other KPIs within Vision Correction
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Committed to maintaining professional standards and ongoing learning
