CAD Technician
Up to £30k DOE, 25 days holiday, training and development available.

Growing Sheet Metal Fabrication company is looking for a CAD Technician for their busy production facility in Bradford. The role would suit someone who has recently completed a mechanical qualification or shop floor apprenticeship and is seeking an office-based CAD role.

As the CAD Technician
·Deal directly with customers and suppliers to receive, produce, and interpret orders
·Work in Radan 2D & 3D to prepare drawings for fabrication and Laser manufacture
·Undertake production planning activities
·Assist with estimating, project costing and timing, and manpower
·Programming the Bystronic Laser
·Doing first-offs
·Assisting with new product development
·Ensuring product meets customer specifications
·Assessing production processes and methods implementing improvements and cost savings where possible

As the CAD / CAM Production Engineer you will have a confident understating or experience of:
·Laser CNC and Press Brake Programming
·Radan CAD/CAM, AutoCAD/Solidworks
·Experience in sheet metal working
·Have excellent customer service experience and the ability to undertake cost negotiation with both customers and suppliers.
·Be able to produce accurate calculations, costing and reports.

The company are a manufacturer of sheet metal fabricated parts and assemblies for a variety of industries. You will work closely with the manager of this department who is able to provide training and guidance on an ongoing basis.
