PSHE Teacher | ASAP or September Start | Gedling Secondary School (NG4)

Long Term Futures are currently looking to recruit a PSHE teacher on behalf of one of our client schools in Gedling, Nottingham (NG4).

We are looking for a passionate PSHE teacher to join the faculty either ASAP or in September 2024. You will be expected to work Monday- Friday from 8:15am to 3:30pm. The pay will be discussed upon registration and is dependent upon your teaching scale, experience, and ability, however, it will range between £120-220 per day. The position is available initially until December, with a permanent opportunity then available for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • You have a QTS (Unqualified with relevant in school experience considered)
  • A good degree in the taught subject area.
  • You have knowledge of, and are up to date with, the current curriculum.
  • You have a passion for working with children and can make a positive difference.
  • You possess a valid Enhanced DBS, if not we can help you apply for one!
  • Contribute to the curriculum area you teach and support the departments development plan as required by your lead practitioner.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Marking and planning
  • Attending parents' evenings, if applicable
  • Following the behavioural policy within school
  • Following all safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Ensuring a constructive working environment
  • Recording attendance in accordance with the school policy
