Job Summary: The Care Coordinator will support the care coordinating team in organising and managing the services we provide, including care plans, work schedules, and rosters. The role involves contributing to the development and monitoring of service policies and guidelines, ensuring the provision of excellent care, supporting inspections, and maintaining compliance with GDPR.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise and coordinate care plans, work schedules, and rosters.
  • Contribute to the writing, monitoring, and reviewing of service policies and practice guidelines.
  • Ensure high-quality care through regular reviews and evaluations.
  • Support the care manager in preparing for inspections and visits.
  • Implement recommendations and instructions as requested.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with GDPR.
  • Ensure person-centred plans are in place and reviewed regularly.

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Must have or be working towards SVQ 4 in social care.
  • Experience in coordinating staff and rotas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English.
  • Commitment to personal development.
  • Team player with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Full valid UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook).

Desirable:

  • Certification in Health & Safety, First Aid, Food Hygiene, or Moving & Handling Training.
  • Knowledge of effective service delivery.
  • Experience in a supervisory role and conducting meaningful supervisions.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Appropriate registration with the SSSC.
  • Experience with call-monitoring systems.
  • Vision for growth and expansion.

Work Location: In person

This position is classified as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scotland PVG Act 2007. Successful applicants must register for the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG).
