Electro-Mechanical Fitter

Days Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm Friday 7am-3pm

Salary £35K - £45K PA

Major Technical are working with their metal processing engineering client in Birmingham West Midlands assisting them with the recruitment of a skilled Electro-Mechanical Fitter, with the ambition to progress their career into the Workshop Manager position in the future.

The successful Electro-Mechanical Fitter must be able to adapt and be willing to learn all aspects of electromagnets.

The role will include:

Fitting high/low speed rotors

Stripping bearings

Fitting bearings

Burning

Welding

Alongside building from new and refurbishing old drum magnets.

Working alone or within a team, you will be adaptable as some site work is required assisting our high voltage and low voltage fitters.

Candidates must be proficient in both Mechanical and Electrical systems and be able to read engineering drawings.

Milling Machines

Drilling

Welding

Brazing

Soldering

PLC Systems

Fabricating is all an advantage.

An Electrical qualification with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and a Mechanical Engineering qualification is essential along with experience working within Heavy Industries.

Salary £35K to £45K PA depending on skills and experience.

Possibility of bonus and profit share in the future.

Hours are Days 7.00 - 16.00 early Friday 15.00 some flexibility with working hours.
