Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £40k - £45k

Join our client's dynamic R&D team as a Mechanical Design Engineer! We're seeking a motivated professional to develop innovative flow control products, including pressure and control valves. Reporting to a senior engineer, you'll contribute to the development and expansion of our valve range and support various product developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create product models and drawings in SolidWorks, applying GPS tolerancing (BS8888:2020).
• Write and review technical documents, including build procedures and design reports.
• Manage parts, assemblies, and bills of materials in PDM system.
• Conduct experimental and validation testing.
• Enhance manufacturing and assembly processes for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient product transitions to customers.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or HNC with significant industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks) and FEA (SolidWorks Simulation).
• Experience in hydraulic systems, metal product manufacturing, or valve development is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.
• Familiarity with industry design standards (B16.34, B16.5, API6D/ISO 14313) is a plus.
