Electrical Equipment Component Supplier

Tyldesley, Manchester

Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5pm, Friday finish at 4pm

£24,000 - £27,000 (Flexible depending on experience)

We are seeking a Supply Chain planner with a strong background in Supply Chain and Procurement processes for an Electrical Component Supplier based in Manchester. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the shipping of Components, along with the reconciliation of on and off-site stocks.

The Candidate:

• Previous experience in a Supply Chain planning role
• Experience within the manufacturing or metal components is desirable
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Education or certifications in supply chain or related fields are desirable
• Strong knowledge of Excel is essential
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using supply chain software and MS Office applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Purchasing:

• Oversee purchasing of components, subcontract Plating/Machining
• Book in or oversee the booking in of Stock, UK, USA
• Rescheduling of orders with Suppliers internationally
• Liaising withsubcontractors to maintain required stock levels.
• Work with the warehouse to Schedule deliveries.
• Process Debits and Returns to Suppliers

Stock Control:

• Participate to Stock Reporting and analysis (Overstock/Old Stock/DOH/Quarantine)
• Min/Max Update (Must be led by Contract/SLA/Customer Contact).
• Chase & Process Consignment stock.
• Highlight on aged Consignment stock
• Month end system close routine
• Reconcile Consignment stock Customers UK/IE/EU/US
• Reconcile offsite warehousing UK/IE/US/France
• Move stock between warehouses

Shipping:

• Work with Suppliers and Shipping Agents to move Component stock to the warehouses at the best price
• Update import sheet with shipping documentation and latest delivery information (Material & Components)

Year End:

• Physical Stocktake, UK/IE/France + Consignment stock Customers
• Work with Audit team as needed
• Stock Write down
