Job Description: They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in cladding and commercial fit out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost management process, from initial estimates through to final accounts. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to ensure financial efficiency and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for cladding and commercial fit out projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses of various project options.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and within budget.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage project costs, including variations and changes to the scope of work.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Prepare regular cost reports and financial statements for management and clients.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.
  • Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
