Lead Mechanical Engineer

Location: Sunderland

Salary: £50k-£60k, plus bonus, pension, and healthcare

Hours: 40 hours per week,

Are you a strategic Mechanical Engineer in the chemical, oil or gas Industry and have worked with PSSR? Are you a natural leader and problem solver? if so, please read on

The Role:

The role will require a strong multi discipline diverse background, you will be working on a top tier CoMAH site so experience in chemical, gas or oil industry would be an advantage, along with managing projects, assets and utilities all within corresponding appropriate environmental, health & safety legislative requirements.

The Ideal Candidate:

Ideally, you will possess a comprehensive range of chemical plant knowledge and project management experience, ideally with an engineering degree (Mechanical biased) to provide effective support and control over maintenance activities, systems, equipment and processes.

  • Strong business management skills
  • Budgeting control experience
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Project management experience 
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Possess a range of investigative / analysis techniques to enhance and aid trouble shooting
  • Fully competent with legislative paperwork requirements
  • Team player
  • Problem solving aptitude
