£30,000 - £46,525 per annum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is a suitable qualification to teach Food Technology i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS

The School and Role

ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and innovative Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Solihull on a permanent basis. The school are a growing establishment who hold staff well-being at the forefront. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging and comprehensive Food Technology lessons to students aged 11-16.
• Developing students' practical skills, theoretical knowledge, and understanding of nutrition and food science.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Collaborating with colleagues to create a stimulating learning environment and contribute to the school's wider community.

Requirements

The successful Food Technology Teacher will have;

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Food Technology or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary school level.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
