I am currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work for a college in Cambridge. They’re looking for someone who has previous experience working within the education sector.

The role is a full-time position working on average 40 hours a week. The position is shift based with set days off in the week and requiring one in two weekends to be worked.

Typical duties would include:

• Provide high-quality food and drink service to students or conference attendees.
• Supervise service staff and help to direct casual waiting staff as required.
• To maintain high standards within the dining and function rooms in the college.
• Adhering to health and safety and food hygiene regulations and procedures.

The successful candidate:

• Previous experience within a catering position.
• Able to work in a busy service based environment.
• Well organised with a high level of attention to detail.
• Able to work well as part of a team.

It would be beneficial but isn’t essential if you had previous experience working with a college.
