Electrical Project Engineer 
Newcastle Upon Tyne 
Salary £55 - £60K Per annum – Day Shift  

Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based in the North-East and are looking to recruit a highly skilled, and innovative experienced Electrical Project Engineer on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our project management processes, driving operational excellence, and contributing to our commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:
•    Evaluating electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
•    Developing electrical products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
•    Designing electrical systems by developing and testing components.
•    Ensuring project completion by conducting electrical tests, observing and controlling systems’ performance.
•    Keeping equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures, requesting repair service when necessary.
•    Maintaining project database by writing computer programs, entering data, and completing backups.
•    Preparing project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions.

Additional Duties:
•    Design, develop and test electrical equipment, components, or systems for industrial use.
•    Work with project team to devise a project plan including scope, schedule, and budget.
•    Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, and installation standards and specifications.
•    Ensure compliance with safety requirements and standards procedures.
•    Conduct research to solve design and development problems.
•    Inspect completed installations and observe operations for conformance to design and equipment specifications, and operational and safety standards.
•    Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

Person Specification:
•    Proven work experience as an Electrical Engineer or similar role.
•    Proficiency with AutoCAD and other engineering software.
•    Ability to manage project timelines and costs effectively.
•    Excellent knowledge of electrical design and electrical systems.
•    Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
