Client: My client is one of the UK's leading independent building services companies that specialises in several sectors including commercial, education, data centres, healthcare, and retail. With a traditional engineering mindset and reinvestment into new principals, the business has an annual turnover in excess of £150M, operating nationwide. Role: Senior Electrical Project Engineer – London – Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Travel Allowance + Pension + Healthcare
The successful candidate will be working on a Data Centre project in Slough.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications
- Assist with management of design stage
- Procurement of sub-contractors, kit and plant
- Investigate Value Engineering
- Assist with preparation of Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, etc.
- Coordination and management of direct labor
- Instruct and coordinate site managers
- Progress reporting
- Overseeing commissioning and testing
- Working with Quantity Surveyor on Commercial Accounts
- Preparation of OMs for final project handover
The ideal candidate:
- Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of Mechanical services.
- Experience working in the data centre sector
- Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace, Wates, etc.
- Have the right forward thinking attitude
