Salary/Rate:
£50,000 - £55,000/annum plus benefits

Our client is a very large and very well established main contractor in Cardiff. They carry out a wide range of projects across the region and due to the award of a very large and very high profile scheme, are looking for a Design Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis. 

Working with the design lead on the scheme, your roles and responsibilities will include:

Providing technical support to project teams and resolve any design or construction issues. 

Review and analyse project designs to ensure compliance with building codes

Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders to discuss project requirements and progress

Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in architectural design

Manage architectural design as agreed with the design manager

Coordinate architectural design

Undertaking value engineering assessment and ensure buildability

Coordinate submission of designs and securing technical approvals as per the project agreement

Resolve any technical related queries. 

Candidates will come from the following background and with the following skills and experience:

Minimum of 5 years experience in the construction industry

Bachelors degree in engineering/architecture/construction

Experience of working on high value projects

Commercially aware

Be able to design and interpret the designs and technical demands of others.
