A prestigious international law firm with a strong presence in London is seeking a Tax Solicitor join their renowned Tax Group. This firm is highly regarded for its top-tier advice on complex and high-profile tax matters and disputes, consistently ranked in the top tiers by major tax directories.

The Tax Solicitor's Role

The successful Tax Solicitor will join a high-calibre team, working on a variety of challenging and engaging tax matters. The role involves offering specialist advice on corporate tax, including support for corporate clients and handling intricate tax disputes. The Tax Solicitor will have the opportunity to work on significant cross-border projects, collaborating with lawyers from international offices. The Tax Solicitor

• Must be admitted as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales or possess an equivalent common law qualification.
• Should have excellent technical and commercial abilities.
• Needs to be an effective communicator, both orally and in writing.
• Should be capable of working efficiently as part of a team and handling a challenging workload.
• Must be committed to delivering exceptional service to clients.

• Strong experience of Tax Tribunal litigation essential. Experience of claims involving public law challenges would be advantageous.

• Should be proactive in business development and knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

• Corporate & Private Capital: Engaging in public and private M&A, IPOs, demergers, restructurings, and private capital transactions.
• Finance and Restructuring: Handling corporate equity and debt-based work and developing innovative solutions for restructuring and refinancing corporate debt.
• Real Estate: Advising on a wide range of commercial real estate activities for developers, institutional investors, lenders, and fund managers.
• Tax Disputes: Representing clients in complex tax disputes globally, with a strong track record of resolving issues in and out of court.

This role offers exposure to international tax aspects and opportunities for client and international secondments, providing a comprehensive learning and career development environment.
