Avanti Recruitment is working with a well-established Cyber Security company based in central London, and is currently on the lookout for a Senior Android Open Source Developer to join their team. Where you will be responsible for building developing and maintaining AOSP-based Projects to ensure they are meeting the clients’ needs. This role will be a hybrid position and will require you in the office 3 times per week.

The company provides security solutions that are trusted by thousands of companies in a wide range of different industries but are mostly focused on the public sector and government.

For this position, you must have SC Clearance or must be eligible to obtain it.

You will find yourself collaborating with product managers, architects, and other developers to define requirements and user stories. You will be working on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality Android components whilst leading developers and QA engineers to produce correct solutions in a timely manner.

You will also find yourself conducting code reviews, providing feedback, and ensuring compliance with design guidelines.

Essential Skills:

-          Experience Leading a team or Line Management of Software Engineers

-          Experience with developing and releasing AOSP based projects

-          Strong Java knowledge for Android

-          Familiar with Kotlin, C and C++

-          Strong experience with Android Studio, SDK, Development tools and build systems

-          Android Security including permission / authentication / encryption / SELinux

-          Ability to obtain SC Clearance or already hold SC Clearance

Desirable Skills:

-          Agile project management exposure

-          REST APIs and JSON

-          Git or similar VC

-          Degree in Computer Science or STEM
 

The salary on offer is up to £85,000.
