Help support the specialist Autism service

A Local Authority based in the Berkshire region is looking to take on an experienced Social Worker as their Autism Lead to help support service users that have a Autism

Here are the details:

• The service provides support and care management for adults with an Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). This is also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• As the lead in the team you will be carrying a small complex caseload whilst also supporting junior colleagues and deputising for the manager of the team. This exposure can provide a stepping stone into management roles for the future.
• The service is a well established service with a stable workforce where there is a low turnover of staff and therefore minimal disruption to your caseload
• The Local Authority delivers this service in partnership with another Local Authority in the area and therefore is well resourced and you will have access to other services that you can refer service users onto reducing your workload substantially.
• You will have excellent support from a long standing management team who are always available should you require any additional help

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to take on a Lead role withing a specialist service that is delivered through a collaboration between 2 neighbouring Local Authorities. The joint working means that resources are shared effectively between Local authorities so you are able to access specialist services to help support you on your caseload effectively reducing your workload. to further support this information is shared effectively between services so that you have all case notes available to be able to make quick and effective decisions.

To be considered for this post you should have experience working in either a Learning Disabilities or Mental Health team.
