Position: SEND Learning Support Assistants

Location: Worthing, West Sussex

Hours: Full-Time preferred, Part-Time options available

Contract Type: Term-Time Only

About the Role:

Zen Educate is partnering with a supportive Catholic primary school in Worthing, seeking several dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants. These roles involve working across the school, providing essential support to children with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Challenging Behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with various special educational needs.
  • Assist in planning and delivering inclusive and engaging activities.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to implement individualized education plans.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ASC, SEMH, and Challenging Behaviour, is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous.
