S&You Recruitment is currently supporting our Newport-based Financial Services client who are looking to appoint a Business Risk Partner. The role is paying up to £50,000 and offer excellent benefits including 33 days holiday + your birthday off, 10% employer contribution pension, subsidised health benefits including eye tests and flu jabs, private medical and many more.

It is a great time to join as my client has strong growth plans and an exciting 5 year strategy, and this role will play a massive part in achieving these goals.

You will need to have worked in a risk role before and have experience in second line risk or a third line assurance role, along with general understanding of core risks including prudential risk, as well as expert knowledge of operational risk management theory and practice.

A few of your duties would be:

  • Leading second-line oversight for operational risk, ensuring they are valid, complete, and appropriate of the operational risks within risk registers.
  • Enhancing operational risk awareness among senior management and the Board, supported by the Business Risk Manager
  • Improving operational risk competency across the organisation
  • Improving the quality of risk reporting and developing appropriate metrics
  • Work with staff across the organisation to improve quality through workshops, training, and presentations.
  • Support risk reviews leading from business change
