Engineering Assessor
Home-based (covering the North East of England)
£36,000 - £40,000 p/a
Full-time, permanent

We are working with an education provider who are looking for an Engineering Assessor to join their engineering training team on a full-time, permanent basis.
 
This Assessor role is home-based, and would involve you travelling to workplaces in the North East of England in order to assess Engineering apprentices on their Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills. Overnight accomodation and expenses will be given if this is required at any point. The apprentices will be on a Mechatronics pathway, and although candidates who have experience of Mechatronics would be preferred, our client would be able to offer specific Mechatronics training to candidates who have a good Mechanical and Electrical background.

The starting salary for this position is between £36,000 and £40,000 per annum, which would also include a 45p per mile mileage allowance (paid from home), overnight accomodation (if necessary), a contributory pension (you would pay in 4%, and the company would pay in 8%) and 25 days holiday allowance (plus Bank Holidays).
 
To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A level 3 Engineering qualification (or higher)
-Good knowledge of both Engineering
-An understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers
