CAD Technician / Draughtsperson

We are recruiting for a CAD Technician/Draughtsperson on behalf of our client based in Bradford, a leading company in supplying and installing staircases, balustrades, balconies & secondary steelwork.
The right candidate will have strong knowledge and experience of AutoCAD 2D & a proven track record of working within the fabrication industry. We are looking for a hardworking individual who can work well as part of a team and also work independently. You will have a strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Experience of producing manufacturing drawings for the steel fabrication industry is essential. Advance steel 3D detailing software knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing detailed manufacturing fabrication drawings from project designs within the required timescales.
- Liaising with architects, engineers and site teams throughout the design process.
- Producing material, component & bolt lists for procurement.
- Aiding the manufacturing and site installation team to fully understand the fabrication drawings and answer queries as they arise.
Further training to progress & develop within the company will be offered to the right candidate. I.e. Advance steel training, project management etc.
