The Opportunity
This company is a leading Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the Programme and Project Partners (PPP). They are delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services. As part of the PPP Team, you will have the unique opportunity to join their team as an experienced Mechanical Engineer to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety, and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK if not the world. Together, you will be helping Sellafield to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.

The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engineering and design activities, developing and implementing engineering solutions for complex engineering projects, and identifying design, statutory and regulatory requirements, and contributing to risk assessments. You will also be responsible for producing technical reports, technical specifications and scoping calculations, reviewing technical deliverables, including reports and drawings, and presenting engineering solutions to stakeholders and as part of design reviews.

You Will Have the Following Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HNC/HND with significant experience) in engineering discipline.
  • Attained/ or working towards chartered or incorporated status with a recognised professional body (e.g. IMechE).
  • Experience in the use of Auto desk inventor.
  • Experience of highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
  • Experience of crane/ lifting equipment design.
It's Great If You Also Have the Following
  • Experience in working in the nuclear industry.
  • Experience in the use of PTC Creo.
