Job Title: Laundry Manager

Salary: £23,500 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description:

Swaythling Laundry is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Laundry Service Operative to oversee and manage our daily laundry operations. This role is essential in ensuring that we deliver top-quality service to our clients while also expanding our commercial reach and maintaining a strong online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Laundry Operations:

   • Manage daily laundry activities, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding clients' laundry.
   • Ensure all laundry services are performed to the highest standards and meet client expectations.

2. Customer Service:

   • Handle client transactions, including taking payments and producing invoices.
   • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any client concerns or inquiries promptly.

3. Logistics:

   • Organize and manage the pickup and delivery of laundry items to and from clients' locations.
   • Ensure timely and accurate delivery schedules are maintained.

4. Sales and Marketing:

   • Drive sales by promoting our services to potential clients.
   • Develop and execute strategies to secure new commercial contracts, with a 10% commission on each new contract secured.
   • Manage our advertising strategy and maintain an active presence on social media platforms, including regular updates and posts on Facebook.

5. Administration:

   • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and client interactions.
   • Prepare and submit reports as required by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a laundry or similar service industry is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles.
• Proficient with social media platforms, particularly Facebook.
• Valid driver's license for handling pickups and deliveries.
