Are you a skilled welder with experience in MIG and TIG welding techniques? We're seeking dedicated MIG & TIG Welders to join our client based in Huddersfield and contribute to the fabrication of high-quality metal components and assemblies. If you have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on a variety of metals, including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine specifications and requirements.
- Set up welding equipment, select appropriate welding rods, and adjust settings for optimal performance.
- Inspect and test welded joints and components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient production and timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a MIG and TIG Welder, with a strong portfolio of completed work.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and equipment operation, including the use of welding machines, grinders, and other tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to welding and metal fabrication.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred but not required.
