Job Role: Production Operative
Location: Clevedon, Somerset, BS21

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-1pm
Hourly Rate: £13.28ph - £15.50ph DOE
Role Type: Temp to Perm

gap personnel Bristol are currently recruiting for 4 Production Operatives with manufacturing experience for a company based in Clevedon, Somerset, BS21. 

As an experienced Production Operative, you will be joining a team with over 40 years’ experience in the design, build and manufacturing of products directly into the aerospace industry. 

Reporting to the Team Supervisor the ideal candidate will have the ability to lay up using advanced prepreg materials and / or assemble a variety of structures and components using adhesives and mechanical fasteners.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and preparing mould tools for curing,
• Cutting and laying up materials in mould tools,
• Loading and operating industrial curing ovens / autoclaves / presses,
• Core filling pre and post curing,
• Assembling components using adhesives and mechanical fasteners,
• Hand tool finishing of components and assemblies e.g. linishing and countersinking,

The Candidate:

• Knowledge of similar working within a manufacturing environment (essential)
• Previous experience within the aerospace industry (essential)
• Composite + laminating experience (desirable)
• Ability to read engineering drawings (desirable)
• GCSE (or equivalent) English + Maths Grade C or above (desirable)
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating in a team environment (essential)

39 hours per week; Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 1:00pm
