Our Client

Our client is a prominent logistics company with a well-established presence in the Nottinghamshire area. Their mission is to drive innovation and efficiency within the logistics sector through industry leading automation & robotic solutions.

We are currently searching for dedicated Automation or Electrical Engineers and Automation Engineering Shift Managers to join an already impressive outfit. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking and initiative organisation.

Roles Available (Both working to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern – Days & Nights rotation)

1. Automation Engineering Shift Manager - £60k + Package

2. Automation or Electrical Engineers (x3) - £50k + Package

Automation Engineering Shift Manager

The Automation Maintenance Shift Manager will oversee a team of c. 10-15 skilled engineers, ensuring that all maintenance and operational tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This role requires strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Manage and lead a team of 10 – 15 engineers and support staff.
  • Coordinate and prioritise maintenance tasks to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and report on team performance and operational metrics.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • 3+ years significant experience in an engineering supervisory or management role, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of 10 or more engineers.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications.

Automation / Electrical Engineers (x3)

As an Automation Engineer, you will be pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our clients highly automated warehouses & systems. You will work closely with a team of skilled professionals to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

For candidates lacking Automation experience, the client is willing to consider electrically biased maintenance engineers.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipment.
  • Implement improvements and modifications to enhance system performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Document and report maintenance activities.
  • Proven experience in automation engineering, ideally within a logistics or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical skills, including PLC programming and robotic systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or certifications.
