Blue Water Recruitment are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to work with a construction contractor based in Cardiff.
The Finance Assistant is responsible for assisting and supporting the Finance Manager with business accounting activities to ensure effective financial control and management.
Role Responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Supplier Payment Runs.
- Work in association with the Finance Manager to establish best practice. Create and maintain work instructions accordingly.
- Record keeping for audit compliance ensuring documents are readily available and fully compliant.
- Participating in the month end accounting and reporting routines.
- Assist with Monthly Management Accounts.
- Knowledge and adherence to GDPR & Data Protection Legislation.
- New supplier set up and credit applications.
- Liaise with other departments.
- Prepare internal and external reports as required.
- Set up and payment of sub-contractor ensuring CIS compliance.
- Ad hoc duties on an as required basis
- HMRC Returns
- SAP daily management (Clearing, internal/external reconciliations)
- Prepare internal and external reports as required
A relevant accounting qualification is required, and 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
This position is due to start immediately for at least 12 months work.
Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.
