We are on the hunt for a graduate calibre Risk & Compliance Assistant to join a successful law firm in their Belfast office. 

Joining a market-leading organisation, the Risk and Compliance Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the firm’s client and matter onboarding procedures and other related tasks.

Key responsibilities as the Risk and Compliance Assistant will include

  • Providing effective support to the team
  • Carrying out anti-money laundering checks on new and existing clients
  • Conducting PEP and sanction searches
  • Assisting with onboarding new clients and supporting with queries regarding onboarding
  • Risk analysis on new and existing clients and matters
  • Reviewing conflict of interest searches
  • Collating and analysing new client and matter data statistics for monthly reporting

What we’re looking for: 

  • Recent graduate with with excellent administration and analysis skills
  • Previous experience in a similar risk and compliance role within a law firm or SRA-authorised legal service provider is beneficial but not essential
  • Exceptional organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  • High levels of discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality 
  • Proactive approach to workload 
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to line manage team members  
  • Excellent IT skills with good MS Office; knowledge of document management systems is beneficial
