Events Officer
This role is a full-time permanent position and is vital to all aspects of marketing and sales at Flannery Plant Hire, to raise our profile and brand recognition throughout the industry. We’re looking for a confident individual who is flexible, organised and excellent at communicating.
You will be expected to:
- Travel frequently in the UK – At least 70 per cent of your time will be spent traveling to and attending Industry events.
- Work in close co-operation with the Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and attend on average 45 events per year.
- You will be expected to work outside office hours at times, stay away from home when necessary and work occasional weekends.
- Set up, maintain and drive the mobile training unit simulator van to and from events.
- Report any mechanical issues with the mobile training unit to the relevant departments.
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness of events and how we can Improve.
- On occasion you will be expected to assist in the set up and maintenance of additional Flannery training units.
- Work in close co-operation with the Marketing and sales team.
- Identify and track event inventory including stands, collateral, merchandise, etc and communicate with marketing regarding orders.
- Regularly assist the marketing department with social media content related to upcoming and attended events.
- Be well presented at events and around clients, wearing provided Flannery clothing.
Skills/Qualifications:
- A full UK driving license and a willingness to travel extensively is essential.
- Previous experience in an event related role is desirable but not essential.
- Confidence in dealing with clients, suppliers, customers is important.
- Ability to organise your own time and work to a strict schedule as part of a team is essential.
- Ability to write a brief description of events and take photographs and or videos.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage pressure and juggle a varied workload.
- Ability to effectively manage professional relationships.
- Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, geographically diverse, and rapidly changing environment.
