Mechanical Quantity Surveyor  

Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a well-established and growing sustainable engineering organisation based in Coventry.

Due to growth of the business and the new upcoming projects they are now recruiting for a Mechanically bias Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Implementation, and management of efficient and effective Mechanical procedures across the contract.
• Management of the established additional works processes to identify and capture items over and above the contract’s limit of liability.
• Providing insights, driving profitable growth, and supporting the delivery of the organisation’s long-term goals.
• Providing support to the operations team with regards contractual  requirements, and any related commercial implications of non-performance
• Preparation of contract variations and client finance model.
• Creation, maintenance, and enforcement of policies, procedures, and governance to manage commercial risk as well as leading contractual negotiations in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements:

• Previous knowledge of contract models, eg. Cost plus, fixed price, shared savings, GMP, etc.
• Experience of assisting with the development and management of commercial processes and procedures.
• Computer literate including working knowledge of MS packages. Advanced knowledge of Excel, i.e. lookups, pivot tables & reporting.
• HND/degree in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
• QS background in the M&E Sector desirable.
• Mechanical Bias.
