Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Client Accountant. The Client Accountant will be responsible for handling their own day-to-day portfolio of clients, dealing with leaseholders and tenants in an all-round position. This role will see you collaborating closely with the Property Management team and be an integral part of the accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation, reconciliation, and recharging of annual service charge accounts
  • Reviewing service charge setups and maintaining ongoing service charge systems for designated properties
  • Liaison with property management colleagues, acting upon requirements
  • Working closely with the property management teams to work on budgets for your individual properties that you look after.
  • Updating service charge budgets and amending occupier/landlord details accordingly
  • Reconciling direct recoverables, including utility recharge journal postings
  • Sending statements to clients on a monthly/quarterly basis depending on the portfolio
  • Prepare move in and move outs on your portfolio properties.
  • Be comfortable with chasing arrears on your portfolios
  • you’ll have strong property management experience, adept knowledge around service charge and ability to step into this role and work independently.
  • you’ll have an analytical mind with excellent attention to detail.
  • To programme and produce Service charge, Ground Rent, Insurance and Rent Demands.
  • Monitoring your workload and creating diaries to keep on top of your workload.
  • Dealing with landlords, tenant and supplier queries
  • Activating new tenancies and processing renewals


Key Skills

  • Self-motivated, hardworking and excellent time management
  • A strong team player with the ability to meet deadlines, good excel skills advantageous
  • Individual will be enthusiastic and willing to learn
  • Part Qualified AAT/ACCA or qualified by experience
  • Desire to take ownership over their tasks
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

We are ideally looking for someone who has strong self-management skills, you will have knowledge of reconciling service charges and prepare service charge reconciliations. Previous experience working within either commercial or residential real estate would be ideal, however would like 2+ years of accounting experience.
