Exciting Opportunity: SEN Teacher in Barnet!
Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Barnet
Pay Scale: £120-£220 per day (based on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education invites you to join one of our client schools as a dedicated SEN Teacher at one of our prestigious client schools in Barnet. As an advocate for inclusive education, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Tailored Instruction: Deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Individualised Support: Work closely with students, providing targeted interventions to enhance their academic progress.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- IEPs (Individual Education Plans): Contribute to the development and implementation of personalized education plans.
- Behaviour Management: Foster positive behavior and promote a respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Curriculum Adaptation: Modify curriculum materials to meet individual student needs.
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience working in an educational setting, particularly with children with special needs
- A strong understanding of various SEN conditions, intervention strategies, and inclusive education practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and other education professionals.
- The ability to work patiently and empathetically with students who have diverse and complex needs.
Educational and professional qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.

Specialised Training: Postgraduate Certificate in SEN (PGCertSEN) or a similar course, would be advantageous, but not mandatory.
