Think Recruitment are working with a contractor who specialise in retail fit out projects, to assist in the recruitment of an Estimator for their office in Nottingham.

Work will involve converting drawings and enquiries into an accurate estimate of costs for the clients retail fit out needs. This is an office based role without a need to travel to site; work is plentiful with a long pipeline of work incoming.

Duties

• Ensure that all estimating processes and procedures are followed to deliver a submission following tender settlement
• Work within established commercial and operations team in preparation of competitive tender offers
• Undertake a full analysis of tender returns received during the tender process
• A sound knowledge and understanding of JCT contracts, and demonstrable experience of running interior fit out works contracts is preferable
• Typically, the role will involve the management of multiple contracts concurrently, so the ability to manage time efficiently is critical
• Previous experience of working on constructions contracts is useful
• Ability to review contracts, contract ammendments, and identify risks to the business is useful
• Methodical and well organised approach to financial management of the project (s)
• Internal handover with sales and operation
• Procurement of subcontract packages - LPM / Labour only / materials supply

The Person

• Proven record in fit-out contracts
• Wider knowledge of the fit-out and construction industry
• Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are numeracy, literacy and communication skills in English
• Computer literacy in MS Office, estimating software, etc
