About the opportunity:

A diverse secondary school in Little Kingshill is looking for a passionate Drama Teacher seeking a fresh challenge. They are looking for an individual who is passionate about shaping the minds of young learners within a nurturing and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a safe working environment which supports learning and in which children feel secure and confident
  • Set high expectations for children’s behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focussed teaching and positive and productive relationships
  • Provide clear structures for lessons maintaining pace, motivation and challenge
  • Assess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use them to improve specific aspects of teaching
  • Mark and monitor children’s work regularly and set targets for progress
  • Fulfil the requirements of the school’s Assessment Policy

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in successful teaching within a relevant educational setting.
  • Possession of a current valid DBS check or the willingness to obtain one.
  • Hold QTS / PGCE or equivalent qualifications (Unqualified Teachers are also encouraged to apply).
  • Possess a positive and enthusiastic approach to education.
