You must be HCPC registered (or in the 2nd or 3rd year of the doctorate course). An enhanced DBS check is required for this post. There are opportunities for fixed term, part time and locum contracts to cover maternity leave for both qualified and trainee Educational Psychologists.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic EP who is committed to inclusion, working with others, and using psychology to improve experiences and outcomes for children, young people and their families.

The work would be to complete statutory advice as part of the EHCNA process. You are allocated 2 days per advice and must be able to conduct face-to-face visits within the Wolverhampton area.

This includes providing a psychological service to the children, young people and families of Wolverhampton, working as part of the Educational Psychology Service. This will include:

  • identifying, assessing and advising on the educational, social, emotional and mental health needs of children and offering advice and support to their families.
  • the provision of evidence-based interventions for individuals and groups as appropriate;
  • the identification of areas of need and provision in a wider context and the undertaking of appropriate preventative work;
  • close collaborative working with colleagues in other teams, departments and agencies.
