Teaching Assistant (Visual Impairment Support)

Location- Coventry, CV1

Daily Rate- £90 -£100 | Start Date- 02/09/2024 | Contract- Full Time (Term Time Only)

Contract- Long Term to Permanent

We have a highly rewarding role supporting children with visual impairment!

LTF Recruitment are searching for new academic year, working with one of our partner schools in central Coventry. This full time Specialist Teaching Assistant role is supporting children 1:1 in Key Stage one is offered long term and potentially permanent.

The Role:

Working one to one in and outside of the classroom, delivering targeted support, as well as helping to support the further development of intervention strategies, such as guided reading. Working with a team to support with the implementation of support and intervention programmes, alongside external agencies and SENDCO.

The Ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of working with, or caring for, children with VI
• Experience of 1:1 support in schools.
• Experience of using specialist Braille equipment and specialist ICT equipment for VI
• Knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, working in partnership with parents and other professionals.
