Job Title: Credit Controller (Permanent) 

Location: Didcot 

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for an exciting opportunity to join a reputable manufacturing organisation in Didcot?

I am currently partnered with a bespoke manufacturing organisation that is a market leader.. In order to support the continued growth of the business, they are now recruiting for a detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their finance department based in  Didcot.

As a Credit Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the credit control function for our client. You will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of customers, setting credit limits, and ensuring timely payment to support positive cash flow and financial health.

Key Responsibilities for the Credit Controller:

• Manage and oversee the credit control process for the company.

• Monitor and maintain customer account records.

• Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email, and letter within agreed timescales.

• Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms.

• Conduct credit checks on new customers and set credit limits.

• Liaise with the sales and accounts teams to resolve outstanding queries.

• Review and release orders on hold for credit reasons.

• Process credit card payments.Reconciling both bank and supplier statements accurate and      

• up-to-date financial records

• Establishing relationships with customers via various communication channels, following up on overdue payments. 

Essential Experience:

• Previous experience in a credit control role or similar financial position.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.

• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
