We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated General Cover Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

• Classroom Supervision: Oversee classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students stay on task with the work set by the teacher.
• Behavior Management: Maintain a positive learning environment by implementing the school's behavior management policies.
• Support Learning: Assist students with their learning activities and provide additional support where necessary.
• Administrative Duties: Complete administrative tasks such as taking attendance, reporting any issues to the relevant staff, and ensuring that all necessary records are maintained.
• Communication: Liaise with teaching staff to understand the requirements for the lesson and provide feedback on student progress and any issues encountered.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in classroom supervision and education.

• Education: A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent) is required. A degree or higher qualification in education or a related field is desirable.
• Experience: Previous experience working in a school environment, preferably as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant, or in a similar role.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and engage students effectively. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge: An understanding of classroom management strategies and the ability to implement them effectively.
