We have the following temporary full time post:

Recreational Competitions & Festivals Partner

37 hours per week

Salary range £26,699 to £28,183 per annum (dependent upon experience)

39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours + salary sacrifice pension scheme

This is a home based role with national travel as required

Gymnastics is an amazing sport that has the power to have a positive impact on people, communities, and our society, helping to build foundations for life for all those who take part. At the heart of that in the UK is the gymnastics community, made up of gymnasts, parents, coaches, clubs and other venues, officials and volunteers – together they form the fabric of a sport that is woven into local communities across the country. As the UK’s national governing body for gymnastics, by working closely with our members who form this community, we aim to lead, support and inspire them to help build a bright future for our sport.

Our Community team are looking for a Recreational Competitions & Festivals Partner to support on a temporary basis to cover for maternity absence for up to 9 months. As our Recreational Competitions & Festivals Partner you will create, develop and implement quality, safe recreational gymnastics competitions and festival opportunities ensuring an uplifting experience for all.

The Role

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Connect and ensure alignment of the competition programme with the products and programmes led by the Gymnastics Experience team.
  • Work with delivery partner to ensure competitions are suitable across multiple environments such as clubs and schools.
  • Engage with, develop and maintain relevant stakeholder relationships to support insight and developments.
  • Support and guide the Events team with the delivery of national recreational competitions
  • Work with the Community Engagement team to support the implementation of the competition framework at a local level; where required provide practical help and expertise for the development of specific competitions

The Person

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Event and project management skills, including the ability to co-ordinate volunteers and manage designated budgets
  • Knowledge of gymnastics competitions (frameworks and operations) 
  • Interpersonal skills for communicating, active listening and engaging with a variety of stakeholders
  • A range of administrative skills and IT skills for effective communication, planning and coordinating meetings and competitions, maintaining accurate and timely reports, and correspondence etc.
  • Ability to connect and work collaboratively with others across the team/department/organisation as well individually to create recreation competitions.
  • Co-ordination and self-management skills to deliver products and programmes, collating data, producing reports as required

An Enhanced DBS will be required for the post
