Main Duties:

As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will vary based on the needs of our service users. Key duties include:

  • Personal Care: Assisting with personal hygiene, toileting, and managing incontinence, including changing pads and handling catheter bags.
  • Support with Eating and Drinking: Encouraging a balanced diet and appropriate eating methods tailored to each service user.
  • Mobility Assistance: Helping with movement and physical activities, using aids like hoists when necessary.
  • Domestic Duties: Performing light cleaning tasks, emptying bins, and washing as requested.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records, including MAR charts for medication, log books for visits, and care plan updates.
  • Promoting Independence: Empowering service users to do as much as they can for themselves, providing support only when needed.

  • Effective Communication: Maintaining clear communication with service users, colleagues, and supervisors.
  • Punctuality: Arriving on time to ensure seamless care delivery.
