EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CMM Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering company located in Northampton working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

The business is a leading specialist in manufacturing complex, safety-critical components for a number of high profile markets.

Due to continued success and further growth, our client requires additional support within their quality department.

Your responsibilities will include;

  • Review non-conformance of parts
  • Update the quality system
  • Inspection of parts using manual standard gauging
  • Run CMM machines


What experience do you need?

  • Minimum 3 years quality inspection background
  • Confidence setting, operating and editing CMM machines - PCDMIs experience would be highly advantageous
  • Previously worked with complex parts for precision industries 
  • Ability to perform inspection activities (both visual and dimensional) using manual measuring equipment
  • Experience of carrying out First off and Final Inspection 
  • Confidence identifying non-conforming products 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
