Are you ready to join a dynamic organisation dedicated to driving regeneration and economic growth? Our client, a leading investment fund, is seeking a passionate and strategic-minded Development Manager to help unlock the potential of complex land and property projects. With the aim of investing over £100m and supporting 1,500 jobs, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the community.

As the Development Manager, you will be responsible for maximising the financial and non-financial benefits of our client's projects. You will work closely with internal and external colleagues to identify and acquire land, secure planning consents, and manage design and technical consultants. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving scheme development, conducting financial appraisals, negotiating agreements, and overseeing sales and marketing activities.

With the support of a talented fund and asset management firm, you will lead multi-disciplinary teams, including real estate consultants. Collaboration will be key as you work closely with our client's in-house economist, programme coordinators, and development surveyors and project managers. Together, you will shape the future of the communities we serve.

What will your week look like as a Development Manager?

  • Appraising development opportunities and supporting business case development.
  • Leading negotiations for promotion agreements and ensuring value for money.
  • Appointing and managing design and technical consultants
  • Securing planning and other consents for projects
  • Advising on market-facing aspects and maximising outcomes
  • Monitoring the performance of lettings and disposals and driving continuous improvement

To excel in this role, you will need to be mobile throughout the operational area, which requires a driving licence and access to a vehicle or the ability to meet mobility requirements through other means. In return, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including 27 days of annual leave, a pension scheme, learning and development opportunities, employee wellbeing support, and much more.

If you are excited about contributing to the success of our client's regeneration projects and have the drive to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. Visit our website to apply today!
